We are pleased to once again announce our continued efforts to utilize golf as a platform for giving back to the community. Our 11th Annual "Birdies for Charity" fundraiser will take place on Tuesday, September 7th, 2021 at River Forest Country Club.
Birdies for Charity. The concept is simple. Illinois PGA Professionals tee-it-up on one day in an effort to raise funds for four very deserving charities by making as many birdies as they can while playing up to 90 holes in one day. Last year for the 10th anniversary of the event, Illinois PGA Professionals raised $350,000 bringing the 10-year total raised to more than $2 million!
This event supports Ann and Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago, JDRF Illinois Chapter, Ronald McDonald House Charities of Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana and the Illinois PGA Foundation.
With the addition of the Central Illinois Chapter participating in the event, our goal this year is to raise a collective $450,000 for the worthy organizations and continue working toward hitting the $3 million mark.
We are asking for your support of our PGA Professionals as they "play for a purpose" by making a financial pledge for every birdie made by a PGA Professional on September 7th, 2021.
