TOTAL PLEDGED: $135

The Illinois PGA Foundation is pleased to announce the kick-off of our 10th Annual Birdies for Charity fundraiser which will take place on Tuesday September 8, 2020 at River Forest Country Club in Elmhurst, IL. If you recall, two years ago - due to tremendous rainfall over Labor Day weekend - Stonebridge stepped to the plate in the 11th hour to serve as host for the event.  Thanks to donors like you, the Illinois PGA Birdies for Charity fundraiser raised more than $375,000, which brings the eight-year total raised to $1.6 million to benefit Chicagoland chapters of children’s charities.  You and your fellow members alone helped me guarantee $10,000!  2019 saw the organization raise over $400,000, pushing out 10-year total north of $2 million!!!

For this year's "Birdies for Charity" day, we have selected Ronald McDonald House CharitiesJuvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF)Lurie Children's Hospital of ChicagoAdvocate BroMenn Medical Center, and OSF HealthCare Children's Hospital of Illinois as the beneficiaries of our efforts.

"Birdies for Charity" will take place at River Forest Country Club in Elmhurst, IL on September 8th. On this day my fellow IPGA Professionals and I will be playing 90 holes with the objective of making as many birdies and eagles as possible.

If you choose to support me, there are two ways to pledge:

  • You can pledge an amount for each birdie or eagle that I make.  For example, if you pledge $10 per birdie and I make 15 birdies in those 90 holes that I play, your donation will be $150.00.
  • You can also pledge a set amount for the day ($50, $100, $200, etc.) - the amount is up to you.

Your pledge can be made two different ways:

  • I can bill your SCC account by having you CLICK HERE, or
  • The Illinois PGA has created a special website at www.ipgabirdiesforcharity.com. Making your pledge via credit card on the "golf gives" website is easy and safe and also provides a fun way for you to track our progress before and during the event.  Simply log on and search for my name from the participant list. Your pledge will not be processed until after the completion of the event.

Please know that your donation is 100% tax deductible!  All pledges must be made on or before Monday, September 7th, 2020!

Please call me or stop by the golf shop if you have any questions regarding our “Birdies for Charity” fundraiser.  I will be happy to chat with you about this exciting even benefiting so many great charities! The game of golf has provided me with such wonderful opportunities and experiences which have compelled me to utilize my skills and talents to participate in this special day!

Thank you for your consideration to support my efforts.

Sincerely,

Andrew Stevens, PGA

Please help my fellow PGA Professionals and I as we “play for a purpose” during our 10th annual Birdies for Charity event. As children, we are taught that often times the best way to say thank you is to pay it forward. The game of golf has provided me with such wonderful experiences that I’m compelled to use my talents to create better opportunities for today’s youth.

Over the last nine years, our efforts have raised $1.96 million for the children in our community. Please help us reach our fundraising goal of $450,000 for this year’s event to benefit JDRF, Ronald McDonald House Charities of Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana, Ann and Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago and the Illinois PGA Foundation.
